Short travelogue

From the 9th to the 23rd of March I spent time on the cruise ship AIDAblu. During the days on sea I was allowed to held some beading-workshops. They changed our itinerary a bit because of disturbances in Bahrain and strong wind in Abu Dhabi. So we had one more day in Dubai and we stopped in Khor Fakkan, a port they never were before. You find it in the Emirate of Sharjah, on the Golf of Oman – little but nice! Generally we had good weather but it became cooler and cooler in the evenings as we approached Sharm El Sheik. During the days on sea I held workshops, teaching different techniques and the crochet with beads. Although men were looking at what we were doing but none of them wanted to join our group. The participants made some beautiful pieces of jewelry and wore them immediately. I am especially proud of my crochet-students, who using the Turkish technique managed to make some wonderful necklaces. Although not all of my students discovered the beading for themselves, I am sure, that I gave the “beading virus” to some of them. I am curious about which of them I will meet again in the forums. I am looking forward to more trips like that.

It’s time

From 9 to 23 of March I will guide some beading-workshops on the cruise ship “AIDABlu”. I am very glad and also a bit excited. See you soon!

When I saw the pattern from Heather Collin, I knew, I must have it.
My version has cool colors. I did not want the chain behind and I found the basic element a bit too big, so I designed a smaller one.
