Welcome to my blog. I have been beading for ten years and there is still a lot to do. I began with crocheting but now I use other techniques too. 32 years ago I joined the "Club of Seamans's-Wives" and we have lived on the Costa Blanca in Spain for 22 years. I have taught beading for 9 years and also work as a translator/interpreter.

Rose of Sharon
This brooch was also designed for the world tour.
It is made in Herringbone-technique, which needs a bit of patience but during those days at sea, time was not a problem.

Pincushion "Basket"
Last summer I tidied up a bit my stash and found these wooden bells, we used some years ago to make pincushions. They got a place near to a bag of Halftilas and this idea was born:
To leave the legal limbo you get something new. This pattern is printed. You find it in my etsy-shop.

Amalia
I bought "Amalia", a pattern from Cordi and Jenny (http://www.fantasiabeads.de) at the last fair. The peacock was quickly made but it was missing the right frame.
Here I present "Amalia on a chain":
The crochet rope (U7) is 90 cm long and there are wooden drops inside the ends.

The Lukas' „New Engine“
Lukas is an
engine driver in a puppet play that I loved when I was a child.
Preparing
the Christmas decoration I found the wooden pendants for the Christmas tree, my
children liked very much. Among these is an engine and suddenly I had the idea
to bead one. I could not get this idea out of my head and so I started beading.
Here you see the new engine of Lukas:
It has
about 7 x 3 x 5 cm.

Winston, the reindeer
For a long
time I refused to bead Christmas Ornaments but now I have fallen in love with
Winston, the reindeer. Look yourself, please:
You can
find the wonderful, correct instructions here: www.threadabead.com
Actual the filling of his tummy is a glass bauble
of 30mm. I had no one, so my Winston has a 30mm cotton wool ball in his paunch.Sonntag, 20. Oktober 2013
Cally
I bought the pattern for this little fellow on the fair in Hamburg. It is from Fantasiabeads (http://www.fantasiabeads.de/).
For making the first leg I followed the pattern and nearly broke my fingers. So I made the others separatly starting on the feet and then joined the leg to the body with the last element. That was a lot easier.
The weight is nearly the same like the living collegues of this size have.

Bat
This year I may participate on a Halloween-Party. My husband bought me already a hat for a witch. (Shall I give a thought to it?) Well, I needed an adequate adornment. After some trying I created this bat. Meanwhile it is fitted to a small, silver chain.

Luitpold
Before I got these wonderful beads from my friend in Hamburg, I had already another combination of colors in mind for the seahorse (pattern by Cordi and Jenny). I had to try it. Here comes the result:
I used seed beads from Miyuki in black (0401) and bohemian facetted beads.
