Welcome to my blog. I have been beading for ten years and there is still a lot to do. I began with crocheting but now I use other techniques too. 32 years ago I joined the "Club of Seamans's-Wives" and we have lived on the Costa Blanca in Spain for 22 years. I have taught beading for 9 years and also work as a translator/interpreter.

Larimar
From my last travel I brought some pieces of larimar. You can find this stone in the Dominican Republic.
I gave this bracelet to my daughter as a Christmas present. The bezeling of the stone is peyote. The bracelet is made with the RAW-technique by Heather Collin.

Bat
This year I may participate on a Halloween-Party. My husband bought me already a hat for a witch. (Shall I give a thought to it?) Well, I needed an adequate adornment. After some trying I created this bat. Meanwhile it is fitted to a small, silver chain.

Epilog to Bead-Fair
At the Bead-Fair in Hamburg I bought some pretty beads from "Unicorn-Beads". Here comes the first necklace:
I used 8º black (0401) seed beads hexcut and the drops of Unicorn.
Guinevere Cuff
Actually Bine and I wanted to present our bracelets together but her beads run out before she could finish it.
Here comes my version of "Guinevere-Cuff" by Heather Collin:
I used Miyuki-Seed-Beads in black (0401) and pearls in sky-blue.

Luitpold
Before I got these wonderful beads from my friend in Hamburg, I had already another combination of colors in mind for the seahorse (pattern by Cordi and Jenny). I had to try it. Here comes the result:
I used seed beads from Miyuki in black (0401) and bohemian facetted beads.

Band of Flowers
Maryam Nahapetyan has published a long list of crochet pattern on her side. One of it is the “Band of Flowers”. Here is my version:
I used 11º Miyuki seed beads from my leftover-box.

Luis
The „Nordlichter“ made me a gift of the pattern and the material of this little feller.
The pattern is designed by Cordi and Jenny. I used Tohos of the colors 7BDF (8º and 11º),270 (15º) and 3mm Bicones Emerald ABx2.
Flowers and Lace
This necklace is designed by Ludmila Raitzin and you can find it in the „Bead & Button-Magazine” April 2010.
I used 11º Miyuki seed beads of the color gunmetal (0451) and facetted beads amethyst (3mm), light amethyst, amethyst AB and amethyst opal (all 4mm).
A Birthday present
My friend Bine loves geckos, so I designed this necklace for her.
The circumference of the crocheted rope goes from 18 to 30 and inverse. I used 15º Miyuki seed beads of the colors: 0012, 2008, 0014F and 0401.

Finally
I also returned from the bead-fair in Hamburg. These were unforgettable days and I made new friends.
We were so busy, that we had nearly no time to admire the other booths. Anyway we had some interesting talks. I am looking forward to next year.

Geometry II
After crocheting this necklace in brown-tones with 15º seed beads, I had to try it again in blue-tones with 11º seed beads. Here is the result:
I used 11º seed beads from Miyuki in the following colors: 0001, 0018, 2430, 0159, 2411 and 0401 and turcish crochet yarn, size 50.
As a little extra you find the pattern
And a comparison between a necklace crocheted with 11º seed beads and a necklace crocheted with 15º seed beads.

The world in my hand
Now I present you the result of my newest crochet experiment – a globe.
I used 15° Miyuki seed beads up to 84 beads per round. Inside you find a wooden bead with a diameter of 30 mm.
The original you can see on the Bead-Fair in Hamburg, at the Perlenplanet- booth.

A new friend
Last Monday I met Monique from France. She loves the beads as much as I do.
It is almost fantastic, how fast we understood, although we did not know each other. Also our husbands got along right off.
Monique gave me this beautiful present, which I want to show you here:

Capricho - the necklace
When I saw the instructions for this necklace at www.creationperles.com, I knew, I must have it. Here it is – in my favored color
and here with my newest model:
The base is made with seed beads size 11 and 15 in crystal. Then I used facetted beads 3mm in light sapphire and capri blue and 4mm in capri blue and navy blue. It was a pleasure to bead this necklace. I want to repeat it with other colors.

Cool Spirit
I had the honor to test the new pattern of Brigitte’s necklace “Indian Spirit” http://solidbeads.blogspot.com/
The colors, I choose, are colder, that’s why I called it “Cool Spirit”.
I used Miyuki seed beads 15/0 and Turkish crochet yarn nº 70. The necklace ends in crochet hemispheres, the clasp is a crochet ball of 10 mm and the necklace is 59 cm long.

Gentilli
The forum of http:///www.perlenhaekeln.de celebrated its 7th anniversary. For that reason an e-book with the title “Die Perlenhäklerin” came out. In this story you can find the instructions how to make Gentilli-Spirals. Of course I had to try it too.
The spiral is created by a special crochet technique. I used Matsunos size 11/0 and crochet yarn strength 50 for my necklace.

Geometry
I also crocheted. This time I used a geometric design with 20 beads per round.
I used again my favorite seed beads size 15 but this time I used thread size 50.

Floral Memory
I found this necklace in the Bead & Button Magazine form February 2011. The designer is Jacquelyn Scieszka.
Because the blossoms are made with seed beads size 8, the necklace has a certain weight.
I like the clasp, it is an original solution.

Almond-blossoms
I created this necklace for the "Desafio del mes" of the spanish forum "Tupilandia".
It seems a bit like japanese style. It is crocheted with seed beads size 15/0 and 20 beads per round.

Torque Alhambra
This necklace is also inspired by a peyote-pattern. It is a try to leave the typical form of a rope.
I used Miyuki-seed beads size 15/0 and Turkish crochet yarn size 70. The circumference goes from 20 to 44 beads per round.

Rhomb-Mix
I am also working with the Miyuki-mixes.
My necklace is crocheted with 18 beads per round and single stitches. I used Miyuki seed beads 11/0 in black and 13 diferent mixes.
And here comes the pattern. I numbered the colours to keep overall view.
And here with black frames:

Just finished
Christmas I began with another project, the Ellipse-Necklace by Marcia Decoster. Unfortunately the informations about the material were wrong. I had not enough beads for the rope. I ordered more beads and changed my plans. Now I put the pendant on a crochet-rope.
Now you also can see better the hexcuts, which are nearly unseen on the pendant.
By the way, this necklace goes excellent with my second, new summer dress and it will accompany me too.
